The hotel seems that is named after ELECTRA (Greek: ???????) the famous princess of Mycenae, daughter of King Agamemnon and Queen Clytemnestra. Mythology relates that she had helped Pylades and her brother Orestes kill Clytemnestra and Aegisthus (their mother and her lover). Nevertherless the true story is that the hotel is named after the owners mother whose name is ELECTRA as well and she’s the one who guarantees the personal and friendly touch of this cozy family run hotel.
The ELECTRA PREMIUM BOUTIQUE APARTMENTS is located in Pythagorion the most famous resort on Samos island GREECE in the East part of the Aegean Sea next to Asia Minor. Combine this excursion with visit to Lykourgos Castle (2km) and the interesting ancient ruins at Pythagorion. Discover the most scenic paths from Electra Apartments & Studios up to EFPALINION ORIGMA - Tunnel (3km), the Monasteries of Spiliani (3km), Agia Triada (5km) and the Ancient Samos city Walls (5km).
On the south-eastern corner of the island, close to Minor Asia, you will discover in just 7Km away from our Apartments a seasonal lake next to Psili Amos sandy beach. In spring and autumn the lake is home to a flock of Greater Flamingos. On the west side of Pythagorion you will discover the ruins of Hera’s Temple which is located 7 km away from the Electra Apartments & Studios.
Longer distance excursions will bring you to Potami Falls (45km) and the Pythagoras Cave (45km).
After a fortnight-long exploration of Samos by means of day walks and other excursions, you will have experienced a sound introduction to the diverse delights of the island and its wide range of wildlife and sightseeing, yet without exhausting the sheer variety it has to offer.
